Two separate 8-per-day limits
The rules allow a maximum of 8 game piece code entries and 8 Chance Card Game plays per day, based on Eastern Time. They are separate counters, so you can do both every day.
How time-based prizes work
Instant-win games like this usually set prize times in advance. Generally, the first play at or after a prize time wins it. McDonald's doesn't publish those times, and they aren't evenly spaced.
The seed-time math
The Chance game runs Oct 6 – Nov 8, 2026: 34 days × 24 hours × 3,600 seconds = 2,937,600 seconds. The official prize list has about 160,493 merch items, gift cards, cash and big prizes (not counting digital codes like Peacock). 2,937,600 ÷ 160,493 ≈ one every 18 seconds nationwide, on average.
Why milliseconds don't matter
If a prize time passes and nobody plays, it generally waits for the next player. So you don't need perfect timing — you need fewer people playing at the same moment.
Quiet hours by time zone

|---|---|
| Eastern | 3:30–5:30 AM |
| Central | 2:30–4:30 AM |
| Mountain | 1:30–3:30 AM |
| Pacific | 12:30–2:30 AM |

Space your plays
Using all 8 plays within seconds puts them in the same prize window. Spacing them a couple of minutes apart covers many different prize times. Our 8-play pacer below helps with that.
Early game vs. late game
The rules say prizes diminish as they're won. Once a prize is gone it's gone, so playing every day from the start generally gives you access to the biggest pool. No time or strategy guarantees a win.
Chance Prize Deck
Tap any prize to see the math. The math: 34-day Chance window = 2,937,600 seconds ÷ number of prizes = average time between prizes.
All merch, gift cards, cash and big prizes combined (not counting digital codes): 160,493 → one about every 18 seconds on average. These are averages at the start, not schedules — the real times are secret and not evenly spaced. As prizes are won the pool shrinks, so playing earlier in the game generally means more prizes left.
Quiet-Hours Clock
Loading your local time…
Honest note: the official rules say Chance odds depend on the time you play and change as prizes are won. Activity levels here are our estimate from typical eating and sleeping hours — McDonald's doesn't publish traffic data. Fewer players may mean less competition, but no time guarantees a win.
8-Play Pacer
Don't fire all 8 Chance plays in 10 seconds — they'd all land in the same prize window. Tap below each time you play in the McDonald's app; we'll count down 2.5 minutes before the next one so your plays spread across many different prize times.
8 plays × 2.5 minutes ≈ 20 minutes — fits inside your quiet window. Spacing is our strategy suggestion, not an official rule, and it can't guarantee a win.
